Jerry’s, Eugene’s original discount building material store, was founded in November of 1961 by Jerry and Merle Orem. Fifty-eight years later, Jerry’s has grown from 2 employees to hundreds. In December of 2010, Dennis Orem announced he was transitioning ownership to the employees through an ESOP, allowing them to become shareholders and partners in Jerry’s growth. A lot has changed since 1961, but one thing that remains the same is the tradition and commitment to consistently strive to provide you with the best customer service and the products you need at competitive prices.
