Vision changelog

Vision –  the phone for your WebRTC video conferences.
To get the most out of your Vision phone, make sure it is updated to the latest version!

How to update:

  • To update its version, Vision must be connected to the Internet. If there is a new version available, the phone will automatically update during the night.
  • Update manually from Stable: Phone App > Settings > Advanced > click “Search for updates”
  • Update manually from Preview: Phone App > Settings > Advanced > enter the word preview into the field “Update source” and click “Search for updates”; in case there is a new FW available, repeat the last step once again

Vision PREVIEW App v. 2.9.48 and Firmware v. 48.145.1.123 Date: 09.07.2018

App version 2.9.48:

  • Fixed an issue in which Vision could not connect to Presence server when all ports except for custom secure port were blocked

Firmware version 48.145.1.123:

  • Added proxy settings

Vision app 2.9.33 Date: 06.06.2018

What’s new:

  • Fixed an issue i which random digits were deleted from number in international format for numbers longer than 12 digits
  • Decreased load on webserver of PBX during reconnection

FW 48.145.1.118

  • “Application” button on phone keyboard can now be used to open the Phone app
    “Application” button is situated right under the “Home” button
  • Added a button allowing to close the audio player (used to playback voicemails / recordings)
  • Fixed an issue with Bluetooth page being displayed each time after waking up from idle (in case Daydream option was disabled in Display settings)

What’s new:

  • Increased max volume for handsfree (speaker)
  • Added possibility to upgrade app without login (from Android dashboard menu)

Vision App v. 2.9.23 Date: 15.05.2018

What’s new:

  • Improved application stability
  • Fixed an issue with echo on remote side in case volume level is set to maximum
  • Fixed an issue with impossibility to playback Voicemail messages in some rare cases
  • Removed the notification “Alpha version for demo only”

FW v. 48.145.1.115

  • Fixed an issue with audio being played also to the handset, when using Bluetooth headset
  • Fixed an issue with audio being played also to the handset, when using wired headset
  • Fixed an issue with a loud click via the speakerphone before playing each sound.

Current limitations:

  • USB Audio support and call control via USB device – not available yet, coming soon
  • Video Conference inside the App – not available yet, coming soon
  • Impossible to login to PBX via Google sign-on from the first attempt (it’s necessary to make a second try)
  • Codecs h.263 and h.263+ are no longer available

  • Fixed user-agent (Wildix Vision)
  • Added support for call generation with tel:, sip:, wildix:, callto: URI schemes

How to update for the first time:

  1. Make sure Vision is connected to the Internet
  2. Log in to the Wildix Phone app
  3. Go to Phone App > Settings > Advanced > click “Search for updates”
  4. A new version of the Phone App is found, perform the update
  5. Go again to Phone App > Settings > Advanced > click “Search for updates”
  6. A new version of Android FW is found, perform the update

Otherwise, Vision will be updated automatically during the night, however we recommend to update the phone manually, start testing it in your office environment and provide us your feedback!
